Have you ever wonder how you should study?! and what tips and techniques are the best for you?! 👋Often, many students in school 🎒🏫are not taught how to study, and when they go to college without an orientation on how to review class material, they struggle. This was my case. 👎 When I was in high school, each class (especially sciences) came easy to me, because I could understand the basic concept.👍 And I knew that the exams were straight forward. By straight forward I mean 'define' type of questions 💬('remember-type' questions on Bloom's taxonomy scale). There were little or no higher-level questions 🚫such as an application or synthesis (build). But once I got accepted in college, and went to undergraduate school, I found out how difficult it was. 😓 I also found out that the exams were in an application format, which means you have scenarios 😯rather than the usual de

15 Things I Wish I Knew About Graduate School When I Was Younger

https://linktr.ee/queenmaryanatomy Para español, prosigue hasta abajo...   Hi! 👋 When I was halfway through undergraduate college, I decided I wanted to study a Ph.D. in human anatomy. This field has always been my passion, and it was a blessing 😇 that I knew exactly what I wanted to do with my professional life. I acknowledge that not everybody at this stage has decided a specific career, and sometimes people choose not to continue college🙅🚫. And that is ok too. 👍 👀Little did I know all the implications that grad school 😵would incur. Grad school was the hardest thing I've ever done in my professional life😓. https://linktr.ee/queenmaryanatomy 👋A few years ago I was allowed to host a career lunch for female scientists about negotiation skills with a colleague, and three invited speakers, in a big scientific meeting in San Diego, California. This lunch 🗣 was supposed to inspire people, especially females 👩 across the scientific community to negotiate their way to get their dream job 💪. Why it was targeted to female scientists? Because statistics show that only 37% of people negotiate a salary, and out of that, ONLY 7% of educated females negotiate job benefits . This reality is very troublesome 😓, and I wanted to inspire those who attended my talk (and I still do). 😄  Being the nerd 🤓 that I am, I prepared my speech💬, my notes📓, and my PowerPoint with insights and step-by-step advice to inspire my fellow female scientists.  Little did I know that I would encounter a scenario where there were a hundred technical difficulties with a full house! 😖  The word had spread about this lunc
